The Art Classroom

Learning in the visual age!  Why art education matters.
I started the year by reading the story Only One You, by Linda Kranz.  The ending of the story states, there is only one you, so go out and make the world a better place.  Courtney students painted rocks.  They created a unique fish like no other.  West Yadkin students did the same thing but we used paper instead.  The rocks will be displayed at the breezeway near the office and West Yadkin's will be hanging outside the art room.

We will begin our Christmas card fundraiser in a week!  Our fundraiser is held through Mountain Color.com. Cards come in sets of ten and are $14.95 .  Your child's artwork will be printed on the front of the card and their name and school will be printed on the back.  I will send order forms homes at the end of October.  MAKE CHECKS payable to Mountain Color.  Part of the proceeds goes back to the art room to buy supplies.  Thanks in advance for supporting the Arts!
