Good evening West Yadkin students and parents,

This is Principal Cody Hemric.

 

The PTO Christmas store will be available to students from Nov. 30th until Dec. 4th.  Students may purchase gifts here at school or parents may order items online.  Packets with information were sent home with each student.  For students in YVA, packets are available to be picked up in the office to order items online or you may visit the store in person during the school day.  On the remote learning Wednesday, Dec. 2nd, the store will be open from 10:00 -12:00.

Nov. 18th will be a remote learning day for all students.  Progress reports will go home on Nov. 19th.

The Thanksgiving Holiday will be Nov. 25th –Nov. 27th.

Each year, schools are required to complete an improvement plan.  You can access the school improvement plan through the WY website. Under the Parent heading, click on School Improvement Plan.  This page has the team members listed, meeting dates, and information to access the plan.

Again as a reminder, when schools receive confirmation of a positive Covid-19 test, a letter will be sent home for the students in that classroom or OOST program to make parents aware of the positive test not the individual’s identify.  If it is recommended that someone quarantine, the health department or school nurse will contact that family.
